Get Hip is proud to present the last and best album by one of the finest garage-punk trios to emerge from the rusty R'n'R underbelly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: the Steel Miners!

For their second and final long-player, original Miners Eric Vermillion (bass) and John Scafidi (guitar) are joined by drummer Pat Pantano, formerly of Detroit garage-punks the Colors. Recorded by Dino DiStefano (Highway 13, the Cynics, Subsonics), Ballin' contains some of the band's strongest and most powerful material to date. It's no-frills, no-excuses, no-BS, straight-up, heavy-duty rock n' roll! Grab a sixer, crank it up, and let loose!

The Steel Miners were founded in the mid-90s by Eric (ex-Gumball and Stump Wizards) and John, longtime friends from Harrisburg, PA. After recruiting former Cynics drummer Max Terasauro and touring throughout Western PA, the band recorded their fabulous debut EP Dig! (GH-1036, 1995). Two more singles followed on Get Hip, as well as a CD EP and 7-inch on Caroline subsidiary Double Deuce. It was Double Deuce who released the Miners' debut album Irony in 1996 (DD-12), although Get Hip (re)issued the LP on 12" vinyl the following year (GH-1046).
