If ever there was a band that could do justice to a ‘60s folk-rock chestnut like “Little Girl,” it’s the Mystic Eyes. And on this 45, they prove it yet again. But as good as their take on the Syndicate of Sound hit is, it doesn’t compare to the absolutely breathtaking version of the Dover’s “She’s Gone.” Their version is not only faithful to the original in form, but also recreates the feel of the ‘60s garage sound.
